The President underlined that Lithuania and Cyprus enjoyed friendly bilateral relations and successful cooperation in international organizations and expressed his strong hope that the two countries would continue working together to protect the world order, freedom and democracy based on international law.
“At a time when security and stability in Europe are threatened by Russia’s ongoing brutal war against Ukraine, our unity as partners in the European Union is crucial,” the President wrote in his message of congratulations.
