The President expressed his support for the partnership between the European Union and Egypt, in particular Egypt’s role in diversifying gas supplies to the EU. The meeting focused on Russia’s war against Ukraine and the global food crisis it has caused.
President Gitanas Nausėda and the Ambassador of Jordan exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations and the prospects for their expansion, with particular emphasis on economic and trade cooperation. The meeting discussed Jordan’s relations with the countries of the region. Gitanas Nausėda highlighted Jordan’s contribution to maintaining regional security and stability.
The meeting with the Ambassador of Botswana focused on bilateral relations between Lithuania and Botswana, prospects for promoting economic and cultural cooperation, and cooperation in international organizations.
The President thanked the newly accredited ambassadors for their countries’ support for the United Nations resolution condemning Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.
