In Quebec, Landsbergis will take part in political consultations to discuss Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, the transatlantic security and defence cooperation, resilience to cyber and hybrid threats, as well as energy and food security issues. The Baltic Foreign Ministers will also meet with the Canadian Armed Forces soldiers, who have served in the Canadian-led NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group in Latvia - Canada’s largest international military presence.
On 3 June in Toronto, the Baltic Foreign Ministers’ will meet with business representatives and will take part in a discussion on the threat of authoritarianism to democracy, Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, and relations between Canada and the Baltic states. The event is organised by the Democracy Forum at Toronto Metropolitan University.
During his visit to Canada, Landsbergis will also meet with members of Canada's Lithuanian community, which is celebrating the 70th anniversary this year.
