“We are constantly coordinating actions to help Ukraine repel the aggressor’s attack, as well as political and diplomatic solutions that would bring the international community together and give Ukraine a clear European perspective,” the Lithuanian President said.
Yesterday, the Presidents of Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Bulgaria, and Slovakia addressed an open letter to EU heads of state urging them to support Ukraine’s application for EU membership by granting the country EU candidate status and launching the negotiation process as soon as possible.
During the conversation, the Polish President also briefed the President of Lithuania on the content of yesterday’s consultations between NATO, EU institutions, the U.S., and EU member states on security and defense issues.
