The President congratulated the Ambassador of India, accredited to Lithuania and residing in Warsaw, on assuming new ambassadorial duties and expressed support for the country’s aim to cooperate more closely with the European Union, especially in the field of economy. Gitanas Nausėda noted that economic cooperation between Lithuania and India had great potential for growth in the sectors of high value-added products, financial services and film production. The President and the Ambassador also discussed the potential and prospects for developing bilateral political and cultural relations. Gitanas Nausėda emphasized Lithuania’s focus on the Indo-Pacific region and aims to intensify relations with the countries of this region.
