On behalf of the Lithuanian people, the President offered cordial congratulations to Her Majesty, wishing prosperity to the Kingdom of Denmark and its people.
“Our two countries share a long-standing friendly relationship based on common values and respect. I am confident that we will continue to strengthen our collaborative work within the Nordic-Baltic family, the European Union and NATO”, the President wrote in his message of congratulations.
Last year Lithuania and Denmark celebrated 100 years of diplomatic relations and the 30th anniversary of their reestablishment. These meaningful anniversaries were marked by the visit of Crown Princess Mary of Denmark to Lithuania.
