The President of Lithuania will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. The meeting will focus on the crisis at the border with Belarus, illegal migration, security and defense issues. The leaders of the two countries will also discuss topical issues of bilateral economic cooperation and the European Union as well as transatlantic cooperation, the Eastern Partnership policy and the fight against climate change.
During his visit, the President will visit the UNESCO headquarters in Paris where he will meet with the Director-General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay. This year, Lithuania has been elected a member of the UNESCO Executive Board for the period 2021-2025.
The President will also meet with French business representatives and the Lithuanian community in France.
