“Our two countries are close NATO allies aware of the threats and challenges to our indivisible security. We highly value Turkey’s contribution to strengthening Lithuania’s security and are ready to further develop our cooperation in the fields of defense and security,” the President wrote in his message of congratulations.
Gitanas Nausėda has assured the President of Turkey that Lithuania consistently supports Turkey’s efforts to deal with huge problems resulting from the migration crisis and thanked for Turkey’s expert assistance and for sharing experience as Lithuania faces unprecedented challenges of irregular migration on the border with Belarus.
The President wished Turkey and its people good health, unity, and every possible success.
