President Nausėda noted that Lithuania was the first to recognize Armenia's independence thirty years ago. He wished Armenian people continued unity, good health, and success. The President of Lithuania underscored that this year was of profound significance for the relationship of Lithuania and Armenia as the countries were celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
“We support the Armenian people in their aspirations to live in a peaceful, secure and stable democracy. It is my strong hope that you will actively pursue reforms for successful and effective cooperation between Armenia and the European Union. This is particularly important with the entry into force of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement,” the President wrote in his message of congratulations.
