On 3 July, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Toshimitsu Motegi will be paying a working visit to Lithuania. During the visit, the Foreign Minister of Japan will hold a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis. Delegations of Lithuania and Japan will discuss bilateral relations, cooperation within international organisations, regional and international issues.
Motegi will also meet with the Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė. In addition, the Japanese delegation will visit the Sugihara House in Kaunas.
This year, Lithuania and Japan celebrate the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of their diplomatic relations. 2022 will mark a centenary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations.
