The President underlined that the synchronization of Baltic electricity networks was a project of strategic importance not only for Lithuania and the neighboring countries, but also for the whole European Union. To complete the transition by 2025, it is necessary to build the Harmony Link interconnection – a submarine power cable between Lithuania and Poland.
The President suggested to the Swedish Prime Minister to consider the possibility of speeding up seabed survey works and welcomed plans to address this issue at the next meeting of the Swedish government.
