Lithuania has heeded the joint appeal of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and designated 100 thousand euros for the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) humanitarian response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Lithuanian Government has also allocated 50 thousand euros to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in order to help refugees, who are facing even more pertinent challenges in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. This contribution was announced during the UNHCR pledging conference in December last year.
