The Commission meeting discussed the creation of a coordination mechanism for European integration in Ukraine, as well as Ukraine's progress towards a visa-free regime with the EU, other important issues. The officials exchanged views on Ukraine's progress towards European integration. The representatives of Ukraine pointed out that they highly appreciated Lithuania's support and consultations. Lithuania's possible expert assistance to Ukraine in the implementation of the Association Agenda was also discussed.
Lithuania consistently supports Ukraine's aspirations of European integration; moreover, Lithuanian institutions are actively sharing the country's European integration experiences with Ukraine.
During the visit to Ukraine, V.Leškevičius also met with the First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Natalia Galibarenko, the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Andriy Paruby, and participated in the Europe Day events in Kyiv.
