Lithuania’s Foreign Minister emphasized the excellent relationship between the two countries, their successful cooperation in the fields of the Eastern Partnership, security and defense, as well as comprehensive bilateral dialogue within the framework of cooperation between the European Union and NATO. Lithuania and Romania speak in favor of maintaining the EU’s special focus on the Eastern Partnership, EU enlargement, and giving all countries seeking accession a clear perspective that one day we'll be in Europe.
L. Linkevičius voiced the hope that relations between the two countries would continue to develop successfully, the like-minded countries would continue to share common positions, and people-to-people contacts would be strengthened.
Prior to this appointment, C. G. Dinescu served as the Romanian Foreign Ministry’s Secretary General, Ambassador to Croatia, and Director General at the General Directorate for Legal Affairs.
C. G. Dinescu replaced the Ambassador of Romania to Lithuania Dan Adrian Balanescu in 2019.
