“Relations between Lithuania and Germany are particularly strong and Germany is a highly reliable Lithuania’s defense partner. Our two countries are allies and partners: we address common emerging challenges together to ensure security and welfare to all the people in Europe”, said the President.
At the meeting with the German Defense Minister, the President emphasized that Germany is also one of Lithuania’s key economic and trade partners. Lithuania recently concluded high-volume agreements with Germany for acquisition of military equipment. According to the President, as bilateral trade and business links as well as cultural and scientific initiatives developed rapidly, people-to-people contacts were also becoming stronger.
