According to Saulius Skvernelis, Lithuania and Ukraine are very close partners, and the people share common values, which serves as the basis for building future relations, secure future, stability and prosperity in the region.

Lithuania recognizes Ukraine’s significant progress in many areas and is determined to continue sharing its experience in modernising the country. Lithuania will also continue to support Ukraine’s efforts to move closer to NATO standards, as there can be no secure Europe without a secure Ukraine.
