L.Linkevičius congratulated Kosovo on its progress of European integration and expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations. The Lithuanian Foreign Minister stressed that an enhanced cooperation between the countries, especially economic cooperation, could and should be encouraged.
The head of the Lithuanian diplomacy pointed out that the region's security depended largely on the normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. According to the Lithuanian Foreign Minister, in this context, the success of the EU-led dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina as well as sustainable results remained the key objective.
"It is extremely important to ensure continued implementation of agreements reached through the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina," L.Linkevičius said.
During the visit, Kosovo's delegation is also taking part in the "Vilnius Conference", which is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Lithuania's accession to NATO.
