After the ceremony at the Presidential Palace, the Ambassador and the President discussed the opportunity to strengthen bilateral cooperation and to develop economic relations, particularly in the fields of education and information technology.
The Ambassador expressed his condolences to and solidarity with the families and friends of all those who had been killed in terrorist attacks in the country‘s capital and regions several weeks ago. The terrorist attacks have claimed hundreds of lives.
Julius Pranevičius resides in Delhi, the capital of India. He is the second Ambassador of Lithuania to Sri Lanka. Lithuania and Sri Lanka established their diplomatic relations in 1996.
