The President offered the support of the Lithuanian people to the people of the United States of America at this moment of difficulty and distress. She wished strength and fortitude to the victims’ families, their loved ones and everyone who had suffered from the fires, as well as unity and consolidation to the people of California in continuing rescue operations and overcoming the consequences of this disaster as soon as possible.
The Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has expressed his sincere condolences to the people of the United States of America over the forest fires in the state of California which have resulted in the loss of several dozen people.
'On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, let me express my heartfelt condolences to everyone affected by this disaster. I wish strength and unity to the relatives of the deceased in this difficult hour of bereavement and wish health to the injured', reads the letter of the Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis.
The Head of the Government also wished strength for those who are engaged in fire fighting and rescue operations.
