Lithuania's ambassador to US discusses perspectives of cooperation between Miami, Klaipeda ports

Under the invitation of the US Department of State, on January 13-14 Lithuania's Ambassador to the United States Zygimantas Pavilionis visited the port of Miami and discussed the perspectives for bilateral cooperation development between the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda and port of Miami. The heads of the port of Miami confirmed their interest to establish a closer cooperation with the port of Klaipeda. The Lithuanian port has already been implementing close cooperation with ports in Norfolk and Philadelphia for several years. It was stated in the meeting that Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and the United States would strengthen the relations with Europe.
