Vladimir Putin, Russian President, tells journalist that close ties with Ukraine were always a priority for the economy of the state. According to him, supporting "sister" Ukraine was a natural reaction to the situation. Without the support Ukraine's bankrupt would have been predicted in more or less half a year.

However, opposition sees this move as a reward from Russia for rejecting European Union's Agreement. The opposition is demanding to know on which conditions the decision was signed. According to it, Ukraine was simply sold to Russia.
