The meeting of the three Presidents focused on security state of affairs in Europe and enhancing defense cooperation.
The three countries are close NATO allies that share understanding on threats and consistently meet their commitments to collective defense. Soon, Croatian troops will join the multinational NATO battalion deployed in Lithuania. Croatian military equipment will be stationed in Lithuania as well.
The Presidents also discussed current affairs of the European Union, matters related to energy security, equal opportunities, and protection of women’s rights.
Dalia Grybauskaitė invited the Presidents of Estonia and Croatia to come to Lithuania next year.
