Minister Linkevičius said that the international events and security situation required coordinated actions, quick response and continuous exchange of information. The Minister suggested to make the cooperation of that day’s format a regular experience – from the high officials to expert level. “The countries of this region are stronger when acting together,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed the issues concerning Russia, transatlantic relations, security, including fight against propaganda, hybrid threats and cyber security.
The ministers agreed that national security had to begin with the individual and regional actions. British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson assured that their country would remain actively involved in ensuring the security architecture in the Nordic and Baltic region and invited to focus attention and unite all forces to fight Russian propaganda.
