This year marks the 25th anniversary of reestablished diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Japan – which is a true testimony of friendship between the two nations and people. According to the President, Lithuania highly values Japan as a bilateral partner as well as a committed ally in addressing global agenda issues and challenges in international organizations.
In her message of congratulations, the President expressed strong hope that increasingly active cultural, societal, scientific, and academic exchanges would give an additional momentum to political and economic cooperation between Lithuania and Japan.
Dalia Grybauskaitė wished the Emperor of Japan continued health and happiness, as well as ever-lasting success and prosperity for his country and its people.
