Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, will - in the framework of decisions taken by the Foreign Affairs Council and the European Council last week to undertake outreach to key actors in the region on the Syrian crisis - travel to Tehran on 29 October and Riyadh on 31 October for senior level talks on these issues. Talks with regional interlocutors have already begun and are also planned after these visits.
