This year marks the 25th anniversary of reestablished diplomatic relations between Turkey and Lithuania.
In her message of congratulations, the President emphasized the enhanced dialogue between the two countries and growing bilateral cooperation in many areas over these years. According to the President, cooperation mostly includes addressing key challenges to the region and the continent, notably, security, and coordinating positions in NATO as well as in the context of relations with the European Union.
According to the President, we highly value Turkey as a reliable partner and ally of Lithuania and the bonds of friendship that exist at the state and person-to-person levels in the framework of the international agenda and joint bilateral projects.
The President wished that mutual interest in our respective countries and opportunities to develop joint activities will continue growing consistently and that it will generate new ideas on enhancing the security and well-being of our countries.
On the occasion of Republic Day, Dalia Grybauskaitė sincerely wished Turkey and its people every success, unity and prosperity.
