“It is my strong hope that Lithuania and Brazil will use even more effectively all opportunities for cooperation at both the bilateral level and in the context of dialogue with the European Union. There are many avenues available for our people to deepen their friendship and knowledge of each other, to develop mutually beneficial joint projects in trade, science, education, and culture,” the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
The President thanked Brazil for hosting the Summer Olympic Games and for the spectacular celebration of sports in Rio de Janeiro, which gave many moments of joy and pleasure not only to visiting fans, but also to millions of people in Lithuania and around the world.
Dalia Grybauskaitė also wished the President of Brazil continued wisdom and success in performing the important duties of presidential office, strengthening national concord and unity, leading his country on the path of economic growth, and bringing people together to work for the good of all Brazilian citizens.
