The President wished strength and fortitude to the victims’ families and loved ones as well as consolidation to all the people of Italy in conducting rescue operations and overcoming the painful consequences of this disaster as soon as possible.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius extended condolences to the Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni over victims of an earthquake, which hit a town in central Italy, in the early morning hours of 24 August.
“I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those who are injured,” reads the Foreign Minister’s letter.
