In her message of congratulations, the President emphasized that today Afghanistan was tackling the tasks of strengthening the state, boosting the economy and ensuring national unity and security – which were difficult but very important for the people of Afghanistan. According to Dalia Grybauskaitė, brutal and unjustifiable terrorist attacks remind us about the difficulty of these tasks.
The President took the opportunity to reaffirm Lithuania’s support to the Afghan people who sought agreement and who contributed to building an open and democratic society and she wished the people of Afghanistan consolidation and unity in firmly pursuing the established goals.
Dalia Grybauskaitė sent her best wishes for the continued health and strength of the President of Afghanistan as well as for the peace, concord and prosperity of his country and its people.
