The Protocol of Amendment including specified aspects of financing and implementation was signed by Defence Attaché of the Republic of Lithuania in Kazakhstan Lieutenant Colonel Gytautas Jundzila (on behalf of the Ministry of National Defence) and Head of the Department for International Cooperation Colonel Adil Bekov (Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan).
Defence Attaché of Lithuania LTC G. Jundzila also met with Vice Minister of Defence General Major Talgat Muchtarov. General expressed great expectations for the prospects of military cooperation between Lithuania and Kazakhstan and pointed out the areas of military personnel training, scientific activities, and exchange of experience in international operations. General also emphasised that 25 officers of Kazakhstan had undergone military courses of various levels in different military education institutions in Lithuania.
General thanked Lithuanian Defence Attaché LTC G. Jundzila for the development of defence relations between Lithuania and Kazakhstan and presented a commendation from Chief of the General Staff of Kazakhstan Colonel General Saken Zhasuzakov.
Defence authorities of Lithuania and Kazakhstan have been cooperating since 2008.
