President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended condolences, both personally and on behalf of the Lithuanian people, to German Federal President Joachim Gauck over the brutal shooting attack in Munich that killed innocent people. The President underlined that indiscriminate violence cannot be justified and must face the ultimate condemnation. The President wished strength and fortitude to the victims’ families and loved ones as well as unity and consolidation to all people in Munich and across Germany. In this hour of deep sorrow, she wrote in her message of condolences, we stand in solidarity with the German nation.
