President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey over the brutal attack at Istanbul Atatürk airport, which killed dozens of people and left more than one hundred injured.
“We strongly condemn this despicable and unjustifiable act of violence against innocent people and stand in solidarity with the Turkish nation that is facing the threat of terrorism,” the President wrote in her message of condolences.
On behalf of the Lithuanian people and on her own behalf, Dalia Grybauskaitė wished strength and fortitude to the victims’ families, a speedy recovery to those injured, as well as unity and consolidation to the people of Turkey at this painful and turbulent time.
