"During the past twenty five years, Estonia has travelled an impressive road, creating a strong, prosperous and forward state for its people. There is no doubt that the cornerstone of Estonia is the will and resolve of Estonians to live in freedom and democracy," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
According to Dalia Grybauskaitė, Lithuania and Estonia are co-thinkers bound by loyalty to the same ideals as well as fellow travellers on a path that brought them back to the family of independent nations. The President emphasized that today the two countries were justly proud of being full members of the European and transatlantic communities.
Dalia Grybauskaitė wished the Estonian President and the people of his country a happy celebration.
