The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania strongly condemns today's terror attack on the Sultanahmet Square in Istanbul's tourist district. According to preliminary information, 10 people were killed, while at least 15 people were wounded. Some of the victims are foreign tourists, mostly German citizens.
We extend our deepest sympathies to victims' relatives and wish a speedy recovery to those injured.
We stand together with Turkey and the whole of the international community in the fight against terrorism. Terrorism is a crime against humanity which will take a concerted effort to overcome.
