These investments will be made from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for the construction of one of the stages of the Via Baltica highway section from Marijampolė to the Polish border, and the railway loading site in Palemonas. The last Sunday of March is the traditional start of the summer aviation season. During the warm season, travellers will be able to choose from 80 direct, scheduled destinations at Lithuanian Airports, including both popular countries and new routes. Parliament approved on Tuesday new rules for selecting which energy projects can receive EU funding and aligning the existing regulation with the EU’s Green Deal. The Seimas Approved the Proposal to Increase MoND Spending on Defence up to 2.52 Per cent of GDP2022-03-29, 14:21The Seimas approved the proposal of the Ministry of Finance to adjust the 2022 budget and to increase spending on national defence up to 2.52 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP). According to the Minister of Finance Gintarė Skaistė, such an adjustment will allow for an additional allocation of up to EUR 297.99 million to national defence and security this year. Litcargus, aircraft ground handling agency operating at Vilnius Airport, announces that it has been testing the Scania Citywide LF electric bus for passenger transportation from the aircraft to the terminal since 17 March. Vilnius Airport has become the first airport in Europe to test a Scania electric bus for this type of transportation operation.
