People will have the possibility to do so after a special seasonal border checkpoint has been set up in the village of Svendurbe for those travelling on the Nemunas River.

The opening of the new checkpoint is scheduled for the end of November. The move is expected to step up tourism as Lithuanian tourists will be able to visit Grodno and Belarusian to come to Druskininkai.
