According to Statistics Lithuania, 1,100 people left trade unions in 2014. The total number of trade union members was 94,200, or 8.1% of the employed. Next, business and employers' associations united 13,900 legal persons (entities) in 2014, the same number as in 2013. This accounted for 14.9% of all entities.
In 2014, the funds of political parties totalled EUR 8.4 million, by EUR 1.1 million more compared to 2013. Two thirds of the amount was allocated from the state budget.
In 2014, compared to 2013, trade union proceeds decreased by 10.7% to EUR 4 million. Membership fees remained the primary source of funding of trade unions, accounting for 69.5% of the total proceeds.
