"As existing employees have been showing outstanding capability, the Group decided to expand the scope of local responsibility by adding teams that were not included in the original hiring plan," says Siw E. Seland, CEO of Storebrand Baltic.
Such a quick growth required an expansion of premises in Vilnius. A new office space investment of nearly 2 million litas was made. Storebrand Baltic IT employees work in cross-border teams across Lithuania, Norway and Sweden and cooperate on a daily basis. The company provides professional training in-house and uses a wide scale of Agile methodologies, Invest Lithuania said.
While aiming at establishing cooperation with Lithuanian universities and to contribute to educational system development, the company launched a new internship program last summer which was followed by successful hires at the Storebrand Baltic IT department.
