“Promoting tourism is one of the priorities of the economic transformation of Lithuania. We have recently signed an agreement on joint actions with the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, and we are launching a tool for tour operators, which will allow us to present our country even more widely abroad. This will increase the visibility of Lithuania and build international relations that are beneficial to Lithuania,” said Agila Barzdienė, the Deputy Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
The funding will cover the cost of travel to the foreign country where the target event is being held, as well as the cost of renting transport and accommodation, ticket and registration fees, departure documents and their processing, and other costs related to the trip abroad. The project activities will run from 1 January this year to 31 March 2026.
The maximum amount per project is EUR 4,000. Applicants may only implement one project and participate in up to 3 events abroad.
A total of EUR 100,000 will be distributed to tour operators and tourism associations for inbound tourism under this measure. Applications for funding can be submitted from 22 April to 23 May this year.
More information on the terms of the call can be found on the website of the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation.
Last year, 18 applications were submitted under this measure. Project promoters took part in 35 events in different countries across Europe and the world.
The measure “Developing Tourism Infrastructure and Marketing Measures” is implemented with the Sate budget funds.
