Nearly 15% of those polled named fewer troubles regarding currency exchange and cheaper borrowing for individuals and companies as the biggest benefit of introducing the euro to Lithuania.
The poll has showed that 8% of residents of Lithuania expect bigger wages after the euro adoption. Also, almost 3% of those polled believe that the change of currency will contribute to faster job creation. A total of 74%, meanwhile, said that they do not expect any direct benefit from the euro introduction.
The poll was carried out from 27 September to 10 October, nearly 5,300 Internet users in Lithuania were polled.
