"We have consistently made every effort to stimulate the growth of the tourism sector and increase its potential, because our country's economy and Lithuania's visibility in the world depend on it. Last year, the number of tourists travelling to Lithuania reached almost 4 million, and we are also encouraging foreigners to visit Lithuania by signing an agreement on new flights in October. I have no doubt that by working together we can further increase Lithuania's popularity as a tourist destination and promote the country's image," said Minister of the Economy and Innovation A. Armonaitė.
For the first time, four workshops will be held at the Forum. The aim of the workshops is to raise the key objectives of the Lithuanian Tourism Roadmap 2030 and to outline practical measures for their implementation. In the evening, the creative process will continue with the first Tourism Hackathon, which aims to promote the use of modern technologies to address pressing challenges in the tourism sector, inviting the tourism community and start-ups to meet, collaborate and propose innovative ways to solve the challenges they face.
For the first time in history, a tourism event where the public and private sectors work together to develop the future of tourism will take place over three days, from Thursday morning to Saturday afternoon. The Lithuanian Tourism Forum will bring together participants from both the Lithuanian and foreign tourism ecosystems.
