On August 17th, Dr. Danuta Narbut, Vice-Mayor of the Vilnius District Municipality, together with Senior Specialist of the local Municipal engineering Department, presented two of the most active garden communities in Vilnius District – “Vasara 2” and “Dobilas” – with an excellent prize for the benefit of the community as a whole – CCTV cameras, which can be installed in order to record video footage of the sites of the municipal waste containers.
“Congratulations to the representatives of the society who have come to the municipality and won prizes for conscious management and perfecting their residential area. We thank members of “Vasara 2” and “Dobilas” communities not only for their correct waste disposal but also community spirit and joint efforts to keep their living environment clean. We have no doubt that these prizes will continue to keep communities clean and tidy as a preventive measure. And we, as a Municipality, continue to encourage residents to clean up their environment in order for the Vilnius District Municipality maintain and perfect its beauty and cleanliness” – said Vice-Mayor Dr. Danuta Narbut.
We once again express our gratitude to everyone who actively participated in the campaign and disposed of their waste correctly as well as to the team of the Green Policy Institute – thank you for a successful joint initiative.
