At the end of the month, these indicators amounted to LTL 21.7 billion (EUR 6.3 million) and LTL 246.8 million (EUR 71.5 million) respectively, said the Bank of Lithuania in a statement.
Deposits of residents with the Bank of Lithuania went up in July by LTL 619.6 million (EUR 179.4 million) to LTL 8.8 billion (EUR 2.5 billion) at the end of the month. Deposits of other monetary financial institutions (MFIs) and central government deposits increased by LTL 540.6 million (EUR 156.6 million) and LTL 78.9 million (EUR 22.9 million) respectively. At the end of July, central government deposits and deposits of other MFIs stood at LTL 3.2 billion (EUR 927 million) and LTL 5.6 billion (EUR 1.6 billion) respectively.
Currency in circulation decreased in July by LTL 281.2 million (EUR 81.4 million) to LTL 10.4 billion (EUR 3 billion) at the end of the month.
Capital and reserves went down by LTL 1.4 million (EUR 405,500) to LTL 2.0 billion (EUR 579 million) at the end of July.
