At an informal meeting on 27–28 February, EU transport ministers will discuss the transition towards climate-neutral transport and reducing emissions from vehicles with a view to long-term and sustainable solutions in transport and logistics and share their experiences.
At a bilateral meeting, Lithuanian and Swedish ministers will discuss opportunities for closer cooperation in the field of maritime transport, the revision of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) Regulation, and the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
During the visit, Minister M. Skuodis also plans to take a look at the remote air traffic control tower of Arlanda Airport, visit the Stockholm Seaport and meet with its management.
At the moment, Sweden, holding the Presidency of the Council of the EU, is focusing on the issues of assistance to Ukraine, which is relevant to Lithuania, ensuring EU energy security and independence, meeting climate goals, and strengthening the EU’s competitiveness.
