During the visit on 12-13 September in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, meetings of the Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania with the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, the heads of the airlines FlyDubai and Etihad Airways, the CEO of the international logistics company DP World Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, and Falah Mohammed Al Ahbabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Ports are expected to take place.
On 14 September, Minister Skuodis will visit Oman at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country. M. Skuodis is scheduled to meet with Saeed bin Hamoud bin Saeed Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of Oman, in Muscat, the capital of Oman.
During the meetings, M. Skuodis, together with the head of the Klaipėda State Seaport Authority, Algis Latakas, and the temporary head of the Lithuanian Airports, Aurimas Stikliūnas, will invite the companies of the UAE and Oman to strengthen the countries’ economic ties – to increase the accessibility of Lithuania and the Middle East region through direct flights, cargo flows via the Port of Klaipėda and the LNG terminal, and to participate in the development of the southern part of the Klaipėda Seaport and wind farm projects.
