‘Over the last several years, the word ‘crisis’ has become almost a banality in Lithuania. In fact, the number of calamities our Government has had to face seems to have broken all the records. But there is always room for another word that starts with C, which I like much better, and it is Creativity. Therefore, today, I am particularly pleased to celebrate the wonderful initiative - Create Lithuania that has turned 10 this year’, said the Prime Minister.
Ingrida Šimonytė has noted that there were those who were sceptical, saying that young people who left the country for studies abroad would hardly respond to the call to come back to create Lithuania together.
‘Which, thank God, hasn’t happened and the decade of Create Lithuania has only proved the power of the impulse that occurs when international experience is creatively used to solve important problems.
I am therefore overjoyed with your determination and desire to share your knowledge, international experience and competence, and to contribute to the improvement of the public sector and the creation of a stronger Lithuania.
A very good initiative is Pupils to the Government, it's great that pupils are interested in state governance.
By the way, we already have those who participated in the project and are now successfully creating Lithuania.
I am sincerely grateful to all the participants of Create Lithuania for their knowledge and efforts. Best of luck to you all!’ said the Head of the Government.
Chancellor of the Government Giedrė Balčytytė has been introduced to the specific projects of the Create Lithuania. The Chancellor was certain that they would contribute to the further successful development of the country.
