The company also informs on its website that it has sold 50% of Lithuanian petroleum company LL Investicijos shares which it acquired in 2013 for LTL 57.8 million (EUR 16.7 million).
After Chevron withdrew from shale gas extraction tender in 2013 and as the situation did not improve, the company's activities in Lithuania were concluded.
Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius last year reassured that the company was not leaving Lithuania. According to Butkevicius, Chevron withdrew from the tender due to incomplete legal framework.
"First of all we must finish creating legal framework for such activity. Clarity is needed, we hope that Chevron will not refuse to participate in future projects," Butkevicius had said.
