‘Lithuania continues to provide vaccine support to those in need. Only solidarity and unity will help overcome the pandemic more quickly,’ says Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė.
Lithuania has already donated 455,900 doses of Vaxzevria vaccine (manufactured by AstraZeneca) to Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, and Taiwan. Another 60,000 doses of Vaxzevria vaccine have been donated to Tajikistan. 50,000 doses of Spikevax vaccine (manufactured by Moderna) have been donated to Armenia. 188,700 doses of Vaxzevria vaccine have been donated to Vietnam, and 201,240 doses of Comirnaty vaccine (manufactured by Pfizer), to Latvia.
Lithuania will continue to contribute, bilaterally and through the COVAX Facility, to the Team Europe initiative of the EU’s global efforts to manage the pandemic.
