If for some specific reasons a person staying in Lithuania fails to perform a test upon expiration of the 72-hour period, he or she must register via the Coronavirus hotline within 24 hours.
This decision was adopted by the State Commander of National Emergency Operations in order to stop the spread of dangerous coronavirus strains.
The above requirements shall not apply to crew members performing passenger carriage via international routes by all modes of transport if they are returning or arriving to Lithuania via international passenger carriage routes by regular, special or charter trips (by all modes of transport).
Heads of international commercial carriers will have to inform their employees staying in Lithuania longer than 72 hours on this requirement.
The requirement to perform a coronavirus test only in cases of staying in Lithuania longer than 72 hours has been introduced with the aim to maintain the so-called green corridor and to avoid hindering the access of essential goods and transit.
