According to Gitanas Nausėda, Sweden’s decision will enable Lithuania to start the final stage of synchronization in 2023 and to fully synchronize Baltic power grids with continental Europe by 2025 at the latest.
On March 5, the President of Lithuania had a telephone call with the Prime Minister of Sweden, Stefan Löfven, during which it was agreed that the Swedish government would consider allowing the exploration of the Baltic seabed.
